In Nemea and the wider region of Argolis the greatest hero of ancient times, Hercules, performed three of his most important labours. Along with mythology, one can visit the stated sites and associate the myth with the present.

The Nemean Lion: Follow in the footsteps of Hercules and his Labours. Hercules' first stop was Nemea and he was assigned to kill the Nemean Lion, in order to save the people in the area from disaster. Along with asking the locals about where different sources state that the beast’s cave was located, you can also visit Ancient Kleones where it is said that there lived Morlochos, a resident of the area, who helped Hercules kill the beast. Make another stop by the Archaeological Museum in Ancient Nemea, as well as the Stadium where the Nemean Games take place. The area is full of signs of history and myth.

Lernaia Hydra: Visit Lerna in Argolis, where our great hero killed Lernaia Hydra. You can visit the area, but we also advise you to take a walk in the wonderful Nafplio, the first capital of Greece, with its long history.

The Stymphalian Birds: On the occasion of the myth that wants Hercules to save the area from the mythical birds, the Stymphalian Birds, that destroyed the crops of Stymphalia, you can visit Lake Stymphalia, the Environment Museum os Stymphalia and Lake Doxa, a little further to the north.
